Decaf Panama coffee: what actually exists

Decaf is the thinnest corner of the Panama coffee market, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than pad the page. At our September 30, 2026 check, exactly one decaf Panama product was documented in our database.

The one verified option

Kotowa Decaf, sold by PanamaGoods at $16.99 for 340 g, is the same estate coffee as Kotowa's regular line — grown in the volcanic foothills of Boquete by the Macintyre family since the early 1900s — just decaffeinated. You can choose ground or whole bean on the product page. One thing the seller does not state is the decaffeination method (water process, CO2, or solvent), so if that matters to you, ask PanamaGoods before ordering.

What you won't find (yet)

No decaf Geisha exists in any verified Panama listing we track — unsurprising, since nano-lot Geisha is sold for its competition-grade character, and decaffeination would be an odd fate for it. The specialty roasters in our database (Klatch, Onyx, Black & White, Sey, Ninety Plus, Sea Island) list no decaffeinated Panama products at their September 2026 checks. If a decaf Geisha appears, it will surface through our coffee database first.

Practical advice

If you drink decaf in the evening but want the Panama experience, the Kotowa Decaf is the honest buy. If you want Geisha's character with less caffeine, an alternative some buyers use — mixing a small dose of Geisha into a blend — is a workaround, not a product we can link to. And as always: availability rotates, so confirm on the seller's page; the price-check date on each record tells you how fresh our observation is.
